TK O'Brien's Guide to Playing the Bowed Psaltery
Easy basic beginners guide with 18 familiar tunes. Covers how to hold the psaltery and bow, bowing technique, care of psaltery, tuning and string replacement. Teaches how to play the psaltery using either a number tablature (for playing songs from certain mountain dulcimer songbooks) or a letter tablature (for playing songs from certain keyboard songbooks. See section below.) Songs written in standard notation as well as the tablatures.

The Best Dulcimer Method Yet
139 songs in many different categories written in dulcimer tab, most of which can be played on the bowed psaltery. To use the dulcimer number tab, follow the numbers on the top of the staff in the book and play the corresponding note on your psaltery. For a 24 string psaltery, the lowest G is "0", the A above the G is "1", the B above the A is "2" and so on. You will only be using the notes on the right side of the instrument.
