TK O'Brien's 9/8 Backpacker Hammered Dulcimer is a unique sized affordable, portable and well built instrument that sounds nice for it's size. It's compact size, light weight and economical price make this dulcimer a great choice for both entry level players as well as experienced players. Beginners find it an easy instrument to learn and grow with since its course layout is the same as the middle section of full sized dulcimers. Experienced players use the Backpacker as a take along instrument. It has a tone that is balanced and surprisingly full for such a compact instrument. Plays in the keys of G, C and D.
