TK O'Brien's Walnut Creek mountain dulcimer is proudly made in the US. This dulcimer is offered in a variety of woods for the soundboard and choices for the sound hole patterns. Our best seller is a sweet sounding and exceptional looking dulcimer. Great workmanship makes this dulcimer a true bargain.

These dulcimers have a solid Walnut back, sides, fret board and scroll head. The back and top are bookmatched which adds to the beauty of the wood. The solid wood top is usually available in Walnut, Cherry, Cedar, Redgum, and Butternut. Woods vary and often include some not listed here. Our stock varies at any given time. It is best to have a second and third choice when making selections for the wood and soundhole.

Sound hole options include Hummingbird w/leafs, Bluebird w/ leafs, Deer w/leafs, Dove w/leafs, Heart w/leafs, and Cross. Hummingbirds are the most heavily stocked. The others are available in limited quantities.

This dulcimer is hourglass shape, 34 1/2 in. long, 7 1/2 in. wide and has a 2 1/8 in. sound box. The fretscale length is 27 1/2". A 6 1/2 fret is standard. 4 string arranged as a three string with double melody. The nut is notched to allow for equidistant spacing as well. Each dulcimer comes with a pick, noter, and 3 year warranty. It is offered without a case or with a variety of case options and the instructional book TK O'Brien's Guide to Playing the Mountain Dulcimer. This book covers the DAA tuning.
